Solidarity Is Global Institute-JO (SIGI) conducted a capacity-building training 

workshop titled "Empowerment and Protection: Together Against Gender-Based Violence" on Sunday and Monday, May 18–19, 2025, at the Al-Farouq Center in Irbid Governorate. The training was delivered by Dr. Malak Al-Saudi as part of “Masahat Amineh" project, funded by the Italian organization Un Ponte Per (UPP).

The workshop covered several key topics related to gender-based violence (GBV), including the latest statistics and current trends. During the training, Dr. Al-Saudi focused on established mechanisms for providing services to women survivors of GBV, in addition to highlighting major prevention strategies, community awareness efforts, and best practices for responding to cases of violence. The training also emphasized the importance of reporting GBV incidents to help curb its spread and to improve access to protection and support services.
