Our History
Reference and history of the association:
The Jordanian Women's Solidarity Institute Association bases its work on the common human values among the peoples of the world and based on the inherent dignity guaranteed to all people without discrimination or discrimination, and on the principles of justice, equality, freedom and natural human rights guaranteed under the heavenly laws and in accordance with the authentic social values that are rooted in our Arab and Islamic civilization and culture. And within the framework of the provisions of the Jordanian Constitution, the treaties and agreements ratified by Jordan and become part of its legal system, the legislation in force, the approved national strategies, plans and programmes, the bilateral, regional and international charters, agreements and plans, the approved international and regional principles and standards related to human rights in general and women’s rights in particular. The foundation of the institute/society and its approved documents are a binding and complementary reference to all of the above.
The Jordanian Women's Solidarity Institute Association was founded on 10/11/1998 at the initiative of a number of Jordanian women who believed that the issue of women is the issue of society, and that women are partners in facing public challenges and in formulating future directions, and that acknowledging women's rights is a commitment to the values of equality, justice and freedom. And the human dignity of all human beings without discrimination, and that women's enjoyment of their rights is a necessary condition for achieving development, peace, progress, prosperity, well-being and security for the family, society and humanity, and it is also a necessity for sustainable development.
