A team from Solidarity Is Global Institute-JO (SIGI), represented by colleagues Hanaa Ramadan, Nadia Khamees, Dima Adayleh, and Roa’a Nusairat, took part in a specialized training organized by the "Art Fusion" organization in Romania, which lasted for ten days.
The training focused on addressing issues of violence against women in the media and included participants from several countries: Romania, Lebanon, Portugal, Egypt, and Jordan.
During the training, the Jordanian team worked alongside counterparts from the participating countries in working groups that discussed various issues related to violence against women. These issues were presented using forum theatre techniques — an interactive and impactful method of raising awareness that allows audience members to engage in discussion after the performance.
SIGI team affirmed that participating in this training was an enriching and novel experience that enabled the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and strengthened a spirit of collaboration and partnership with peers from different countries.
