Tadamon Participates in Scientific Conference Marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse

Dr. Eman Al-Hussein, Chairperson of the Administrative Board of the Jordanian Women’s Union Institute (Tadamon), participated in the scientific conference organized by the Anti-Narcotics Department under the slogan "With Awareness... We Break the Cycle," in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse. The conference was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah.


Tadamon’s participation reflected its commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at raising community awareness, preventing drug abuse, promoting a culture of social responsibility, and strengthening partnerships between civil society organizations and government institutions in addressing this critical issue.


The Jordanian Women’s Union Institute (Tadamon) reaffirmed that combating drug abuse is a shared national responsibility that requires coordinated and integrated efforts to protect young people, families, and communities, while reinforcing prevention and awareness systems, particularly in light of growing social challenges.


The Institute also commended the Anti-Narcotics Department for its leading role in implementing awareness programs and initiatives, as well as organizing scientific conferences that facilitate knowledge exchange and unify national efforts. These initiatives contribute to strengthening the effectiveness of the national response to drug-related challenges and fostering a culture of awareness and prevention, ultimately supporting a safer and more secure society.
