
Finance Grants Officer
Solidarity Is Global Institute – SIGI Jo is hiring a Finance Grants Officer (Female) to manage the below duties. SIGI – Jo is a civil society organization established in 1998 concerned with human rights and women’s rights in particular.
Financial Statements and reports
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual – as needed according to reporting agreements with donors-projects financial reports.
Prepare final projects financial report statements to present to the donors and project’s external auditors
Bookkeeping (related to projects implemented by SIGI)
Coordinate closely with project management team to ensure adherence to technical and financial work pan
Control expenses, issue payments and prepare all payment and journal vouchers
Audit expenses and the supporting documents for all financial transactions and assure adherence with the financial policies and procedures
Prepare a filing system for all financial supporting documents according to the internal policies and procedures in addition to donors’ requirements
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Manage all accounts receivable and payable
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable
Ensure compliance of accounting book and reports with IAS and IFRS
Budgeting
Support the fundraising department through working on the budgeting of the proposal, and financial requirements as per agreement with donors
Maintain projects’ related fixed assets register for auditing purposes
Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2-3 years of relevant experience, experience in working with NGOs/Development organizations is a must
Excellent English Language
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
Knowledge of Accounting Systems “ALFA System is a plus”
